GLOBAL TASTES, NEIGHBORHOOD VIBES
Nestled within Rincon Hill, Local Kitchen & Wine Merchant has introduced a rustic, intercontinental style of dining to the bustling neighborhood. Our menu—featuring Singaporean-inspired fare from Chef Nora Haron, in addition to our famous wood-fired pizzas—is a mouth-watering love letter to curated flavors, expertly executed. Desserts, too, are created in the same fashion; never too sweet, leveraging natural sugars and high-quality ingredients.
Our mantra, sweet or savory? Keep it simple—and do it well.
Behind the bar, you’ll find a creative cocktail menu that pulls inspiration from top-notch spirits, crafted with tongue-in-cheek nods to pop-culture and local landmarks. Beer taps, featuring regional brews, and, as you’d expect, an impeccable wine list round-out our 21-and-over offerings.
Located on 1st Street, between Folsom and Harrison, we’re only a short jot from San Francisco landmarks—but offer flavors you’d need a stamped passport to macerate.
OUR COMMITMENT TO A BETTER FOOD SYSTEM
Local Kitchen and Wine Merchant is working to create a better food system for all, and that includes farm animals too. That’s why we are committed to sourcing all 100% of our meat and poultry from farms that achieve an animal welfare certification recognized by Eat REAL and the ASPCA® Shop With Your Heart program by 2021.
Furthermore, by 2024, we will source only chicken certified by Global Animal Partnership (GAP) or another third-party auditing animal welfare certification program that meets or betters GAP’s standards for broiler breeds and rearing conditions (including lighting, litter, space, and enrichment). We will also make sure that our birds are processed in a system that utilizes a pre-shackle multi-step controlled-atmosphere processing system that’s widely hailed as more humane.
